Syria underlined its potential with respect to the textile industry with 551 visitors at ITMA 2003. The almost 100 participants at the Round Table Meetings in Damascus and Homs as well as at the press conference at Matex in Aleppo made this impressively clear once again. In addition to oil and foodstuffs, textiles are among the main exports of the country. Due to the continually growing textile industry in Syria, most questions were directed at European textile machine manufacturers, especially with respect to the quality and price of their machines. Because ITMA 2007 will start parallel to Ramadan, the visitors were also very interested in the Ramadan services of Munich International Trade Fairs. You can find details about the services here.
